I was at that point in my life where it was a to and fro motion with God. I was a member of at least two departments in my church, still I was struggling with so much weight. I was on the brink of losing it, of tilting for good when I met with a man who would come to mean more to me over the years. Dr Babatunde (or Dr Babs as we fondly call him) was practicing at the same hospital where I was on posting as an undergrad Nurse. He, having a keen sense of observation established a rapport with me, I can’t tell what he saw or what motivated him but that encounter introduced me to Pens for Christ. If you were following you’d observe that at this point I was familiar with the Word of God, I was frequent in church spaces. But my correspondence with Pens for Christ showed me the lifestyle, helped me to build Faith. Over frequent visits to Dr Babs, we discussed and expounded on the Word of God like we would do talking about Chelsea or Arsenal. I gradually began to feel less stressed and less pressured while building focus on Christ Jesus. Finding the right person to talk with is as vital to our growth as studying the Bible, and that was what Pens for Christ gave me. Today, as I navigate and manoeuver the complexities of adult life, I have an anchor that holds me despite the wind that so often rock me. I am able to keep growing because I have an understanding of my faith, an understanding on which every other aspect of my spiritual life is built on. Pens for Christ helped give me that footing, and I’m forever grateful.

I sincerely thank God for this Ministry (PFC). It helped to lay a good foundation and keep me on the right track. There was a time when studying and understanding the scriptures became an ordeal because I was filled with grief, unanswered questions and I began to lose interest. However, receiving Bible study outlines with correspondence from PFC helped to revive my interest, gave me a study guide and clarity to questions I couldn't ask in church, with an assurance of God's unwavering love. Having a correspondence with Pens for Christ (PFC) was an amazing experience for me. I was at a point in my life when I needed some guidance and assurance about who I was in Christ; if I was really saved despite struggling with my faith. I just really needed to know where I stood with God. Studying my Bible, praying and fellowshipping with other Christians didn't seem to get me the answers I needed until I started my correspondence with PFC and I was able to understand and get insight from the articles. I was also able to really communicate with members of the team who were always there to help. The help I got spurred my desire to do the same for others who might need this clarity and assurance also. Hence, my decision to join the team afterwards. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to come across this Ministry, benefit and be a part of it. I am also grateful to PFC and I pray we never lose sight of the vision in Jesus name. Amen.

I got to know about PFC in 2005 at ECWA Youth Camp, which was held at Nigeria Youth Camp Eyenkorin, Kwara State. I went out for an altar call where I surrendered my life to Christ. Some set of people (PFC members and counsellors), guided us to the Chapel Annex where we were given some materials to read. We filled some parts and submitted back to them. The materials I got was rich and timely for a baby Christian like me, and they helped me to grow spiritually. PFC followed up on me duly till I reached a certain level of my spiritual growth. I count it a great privilege to be discipled by the ministry, because it has had a great impact on my life. A while after I had passed through PFC (through correspondence) I was given the privilege of joining the Ministry as a member. I was convinced that it was an opportunity for me to serve God in helping Christians to grow spiritually. Being a member of PFC, God has helped me to understand some principles and benefits of commitment to Ministry and PFC has become an important part of my life.

It is a wonderful experience to be saved. However, working out my salvation which seemed impossible with my own understanding was excellently achieved and still being achieved with the help of Pens for Christ. I was interested in PFC at first because her aim was to "help people grow spiritually". That was exactly what I needed at that very point: to grow in the knowledge of Christ. As I got to interact with PFC I felt so many burdens lifted, many questions answered and PFC prayers helped me in school as I was a contact. I got to understand more on salvation and I was assured of my salvation through PFC where I got to understand God is not someone far but a loving Father. While in school, having an organization from body of Christ to check on me, pray with me and encourage me was everything. With the help of Pens for Christ, I was able to develop myself in the knowledge of Christ and to pass the knowledge to others. Joining PFC as a member has been amazing; it has created an avenue to preach Christ to others while working on my personal life. PFC also helped me to develop myself in areas I never thought I could through contacts personal experiences. PFC has always put my spiritual life on self-examination and I adjust appropriately. In-depth study of the Word is now a lifestyle. I am grateful for PFC.

This article (Handling Temptions) is not just powerful but also liberating. Often times believers feel that they are doom when the face temptations or fall into temptation. Personally this has been my struggle for years. I was of the notion that temptation was equivalent to the sin itself and that once i accept Christ I should not be struggling with any form of temptations. To me that was a sign of weakness or spiritually immaturity. I now understand that while you grow in Christ there are temptations that you "out grow" BUT it's a process and this can only be done through the workings of the Holy Spirit and NOT by self reliance. Additionally, if i fall into temptation my good Father is waiting for to cry out to Him for help rather than walking in self condemnation. I now live by the scripture Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. THERE IS NO CONDEMNATION TO ME, BECAUSE I AM IN CHRIST JESUS. Special thanks to Dr. Adewole Babatunde for constantly reminding me and planting this scripture in my mind
